Sunday, December 7th 2014 – HOLIDAY LIGHTS OF NYACK (RESCHEDULED). Celebrate the season with three C’s that bring holiday cheer: caroling, cocoa and cider. There will also be holiday stories and a visit by Santa. 4-6p at Veterans Park Gazebo, Main Street. (This event had been previously scheduled for Sat but it’s been moved to Sun due to the weather forecast).

Saturday, December 13th 2014 – A FREE PARKING Saturday: RAND Nyack’s “Tricky Tray” fundraiser for Nyack’s “SOUP ANGELS”. Come stop by my office of Better Homes & Gardens’ Rand Realty at 46 South Broadway in Nyack between 3 and 7PM, parking VILLAGE WIDE is free that day. See our newly renovated and redecorated office, have a soft drink or wine, a holiday snack, and buy tickets – FIVE for FIVE DOLLARS – and then use your tickets to take a chance on the multitude of items. We’ve got gift items, specialty food and drink baskets, gift certificates for Nyack Shops and Restaurants, CD collections of local performers and more! Throughout December: OUTDOOR SKATING AT PROVIDENT BANK PARK. Our local minor league Baseball Stadium is being converted to our own Rockefeller Center for skating this season! BH&G Rand Realty will sponsor the “Warming Center” at the Park on Weekends. COME JOIN ME WHEN I HOST THE WARMING CENTER THIS SUNDAY, DECEMBER 7 at 4:30 PM. See you there!

Saturdays from December thru February: Toys of the Past: Childhood Memories Before 1955 – The exhibit includes dolls, doll houses, stuffed animals, children’s books, games and toy soldiers. On Saturdays through February. From 1-4p at the Historical Society of the Nyacks Museum, 50 Piermont Ave, behind Nyack Library and across from Memorial Park.

Hey Ted! I’ve been trying to find out some good information on that house – I certainly know I’ve shown the apartments there enough times as a real estate agent! I have been told by some neighbors that they THINK it was used as a private school for a while, but I haven’t been able to positively verify that!
